Support in English
1. How does schedule scanning work?
Select a schedule photo or take one, then let RosterSnap recognize its text and parse the schedule on your device. Review the proposed shifts, correct anything that needs attention, and confirm the shifts you want to save.
Recognition depends on image clarity and schedule layout. Check dates, names, start/end times, breaks, and the selected job before confirming. You can also add or edit shifts manually.
2. Are my schedule screenshots uploaded?
No. RosterSnap does not upload your schedule images, OCR text, or personal business data to its backend for OCR or schedule parsing. Those steps run on your device.
Limited trial/device checks and store services can still require network access. Android's local OCR SDK has its own technical diagnostics; operating-system backups and your selected calendar provider may also synchronize data under your settings. See the Privacy Policy for these separate data flows.
3. How does the free trial work?
New users receive three successful automatic scans. One trial scan is counted only after OCR and parsing succeed, you confirm the result, and at least one shift is successfully saved to local storage.
A failed scan, cancellation, or confirmation that saves no shifts does not use a trial scan. If only part of the result is saved successfully, it counts once when at least one shift is saved. Manual shift entry and editing do not use automatic-scan credits.
After the three successful scans, Pro Lifetime unlocks unlimited automatic scans. Reinstalling does not guarantee a new trial; store and device-verification state can survive an uninstall.
4. What is RosterSnap Pro?
RosterSnap Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase that permanently unlocks unlimited schedule scanning. There is no subscription and no advertising. The store displays the current localized price before you buy.
Purchases are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, not this website. A purchase on one platform is not a cross-platform account entitlement; use the corresponding store and original purchasing account to restore it. Store rules apply to payment, pending transactions, and refunds.
5. How do I restore my purchase?
- iOS: Use the Apple Account associated with the original App Store purchase. Open RosterSnap, go to Settings → RosterSnap Pro, and choose Restore Purchase when it is available.
- Android: Use the Google Play account that originally purchased Pro, with Google Play available on the device. Open Settings → RosterSnap Pro and choose Restore Purchase when it is available.
The app checks the corresponding store for an existing entitlement. A new installation identifier does not by itself mean you need to pay again. Restoration depends on the store account, completed purchase status, network/store availability, and any refund or revocation. If Pro is already unlocked, the restoration action may be hidden.
Reload refreshes store information; it is not a purchase. Restore Purchase looks for a purchase you already made. The permanent-unlock action starts a new store purchase.
6. Why can't I scan?
- Camera or photo access: Check the permission relevant to the action you chose in your device's app settings. System labels vary by OS version.
- Image or recognition problem: Try a clear, upright image with readable dates and times. Review your profile/name aliases and selected job, and correct proposed shifts before saving.
- Preparing/checking state fails: Check your network and retry the existing scan-state check. Trial/device verification and store status can be unavailable even though OCR itself is local.
- Trial exhausted: Confirm whether Pro is unlocked. If you previously bought Pro on this platform, try restoring with the original store account.
- Store or device verification unavailable: Check App Store/Google Play availability and whether the device supports the required service. Reloading cannot bypass trial rules or a pending purchase.
Not every error is a network problem. Keep the displayed error description and report the steps using synthetic or redacted examples, not a real sensitive schedule.
7. How do I allow calendar access?
In RosterSnap Settings → Calendar, enable the feature, grant the requested calendar permission, and choose an available writable calendar. If permission was denied, change it in the operating system's app/privacy settings and return to RosterSnap.
RosterSnap manages its own events, not unrelated events. A calendar tied to Apple, Google, an employer, or another service may synchronize those events using that provider's settings. Disabling synchronization or uninstalling the app does not necessarily remove events already created; manage unwanted copies in the selected calendar.
8. How do I allow reminders?
Open Settings → Reminders, choose a shift-start offset and/or previous-evening time, and grant notification permission when requested. If blocked, allow notifications for RosterSnap in the operating system's settings.
Reminders are scheduled locally. If one is late or missing, check the shift date/time, reminder settings, notification settings, Focus/Do Not Disturb, and power restrictions. On Android, alarm permissions may also affect precise timing. Platform scheduling limits and device settings can affect delivery; enabling a reminder is not a guarantee of delivery.
9. How do I contact support?
Support and privacy contact: echo.akihi@gmail.com.
To help investigate an issue, you can include these non-sensitive details:
- iOS or Android, device OS version, and RosterSnap version/build.
- The screen or feature, steps to reproduce, expected result, and actual result.
- The displayed error wording and approximate time of the problem, if relevant.
- App language/region format and a synthetic example when needed to explain formatting.
Do not send original schedules, wage screenshots, identity documents, banking information, passwords, private keys, purchase tokens, or raw receipts. For OCR issues, describe the layout or use a fully synthetic/redacted example without real names, workplaces, wages, or schedules. No upload form is provided on this page.
